The story started when Claire complained she was not receiving enough emails. We sent her emails with one word but then she complained that she wanted some meaning and this is how Capcakes and Hats came to be.
OHH so you can’t be BOTHERED filling them with MEANING? HMMM? I want a poem or SOMETHING!
So, I am going to write you a STORY
there once was a girl called emily who had an incredibly bright hat. it was so bright that it attracted stares and comments from people on the street. one day, emily met a boy called steven. emily liked steven; but steven was distracted by her incredibly bright hat. one day, emily saw steven on the street. STEVEN! she called. he turned and ran away. 'why doesnt he like me?' asked emily, then she pulled a sad face. :( the next day at school, emily saw steven again. STEVEN! she yelled again. he turned around and screamed. then ran away. emily spoke to her friend and part-time lover, xanthus. 'xanthus?' she asked, 'why doesn’t steven like me?' xanthus turned away, not wanting to hurt emily's feelings. he hated making emily sad. 'well, you see emily...' he said cautiously, 'steven is scared of... of... your hat.' he stopped. tears filled emily's eyes. 'm-my hat?' she asked through gulps of breath. 'you mean... my incredibly bright hat? he-he doesn't like it?' she then started sobbing loudly. xanthus hated to see her like this. he tried to comfort her; 'personally, i love your hat. i think it's fantastic.' he looked at her expectantly, waiting for her to calm down. she took a big gulp; 'yes, but i dont care if you like it or not! you're only my part-time lover... and i wanted steven to be my full time lover!' xanthus turned away, now it was his turn for tears to fill his eyes. 'oh,' he said sadly. 'i see.' but this strange behaviour was unnoticed by emily, who was already thinking up plans to win steven over to her and her incredibly-bright-hat-wearing ways.
